A series of sculptures that explore the relationship of different forms working together in one cohesive piece. When working on these pieces, my intent was to have the implied lines coming off of curves and edges flow into one another in a harmonious nature. By creating nooks in the lower forms the stacked piece is cradled within the concave giving the feeling that they are exactly where they need to be. We find comfort and a sense of belonging with our partners in life, and the same holds true in this series of sculptures. Just as partners rely on one another, these sculptures rely on the sequentially stacked forms.
